Jordan Smith, Penn State University, #12 |
A: Coaches Roman Morris and Troy Vincent instilled in me a drive to reach perfection and to perfect my craft on and off the field. These two coaches consistently push academics and provide great teachings for young men through countless examples of experiences that have gone through before.
Q: Do you feel like you were ahead of other players technique wise from all the years of working on your skill set with PX?
A: Working with PrimeXample has given me unbelievable confidence in my technique. I honestly believe that all the techniques I have been taught from PX are the best techniques a young DB can learn in order to play the game correctly.
Q: What advice would go give a young man who has the hopes an dreams of becoming a NCAA student/athlete (Football player)?
A: Advice I would give a young student athlete on trying to make it to college is it is all on you. You have to be willing. The labor and time you put into your craft will show. But your mommy or daddy can't make you want it. You have to want it on your own. Also it does not come over night. It takes time and practice to improve your skills and there is always room for improvement.
Q: Have you used the same work ethic off the field as you've used in the classroom?
A: The same work ethic applied on the field is the same work ethic I use in the classroom because I just don't want to be eligible. I want to exceed the expectations. I want to get the best grades in my classes that I possibly can each and every day. It's not just about being great on the field, it is also about being great in life, in the classroom, and everything else that you do.
I want to thank you Jordan for taking the time to speak with me. I know you're busy so I really appreciate it!!! Keep working hard on and off the field and good luck this season. I love you man.
